Uploaded Image Dr. Behnam Abu Al-Soof came to Brown University for the 2008 calendar year with the assistance of the Scholar Rescue Fund to teach and research in safety. During his stay on campus as a visiting professor at the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World, Dr. Al-Soof lectured, conducted research and continued his work as scientific advisor to Iraq’s Antiquities Department and the Iraq Museum.

Within this forum you will find the links to a collection of Dr. Al-Soof's excavation reports, originally published in "Sumer." Photocopies of the original excavation reports were donated to the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World for online publication; PDFs of these files can be found below. The files below represent a combination of digitally enhanced transcriptions of the reports as well as the actual scanned copies (featuring Dr. Al-Soof's own notes in the margins). We will continue to enhance the documents on the "Original Scans" page, but felt it was important that the entire collection be publicly available throughout this process.

In addition to the excavation reports, Dr. Al-Soof donated a selection of his personal Slide Collection to contribute to this publication.
