On the 8th March 2008 a storm felled a tree on College Green. The green is situated at the top of the hill, and is very exposed to winds. This is not the first time this has happened- in 1956 a tree fell and broke the arm off the statue of Caesar Augustus, causing its removal from the green. This year the casualty was another sculpture- Square Roots (2006) by Patrick Dougherty:
